HOW TO REGISTER AND PROTECT A PATENT IN BRAZIL
7 de December de 2021LIVING IN BRAZIL IS A DREAM-COME-TRUE FOR MANY PEOPLE
7 de December de 2021The World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO, created a database called Patentscope. The platform gathers a huge amount of data, such as national laws, patent documents and PCT requests. We are talking about more than 69 million documents! In 2017, more than 40 countries such as Brazil, United States and Japan were added.
Another great feature of the site is the multilingual function, it is possible to obtain terms in other languages. Furthermore, WIPO translates patent excerpts to bring more concrete information to its users.
The Patentscope Plataform offers other services, such as weekly PCT publications – the Patent Cooperation Treaty, which was completed on 19 July 1970 in Washington. The treaty provides cooperation between industrialized and developing countries, creating the patent system and yielding technology.
The platform also provides a Patent Register Portal, which allows the verification of the legal status of patents in different countries.
Finally, the Patentscope offers WIPO Pearl and WIPO Lex. In order to tackle linguistic barriers, the Platform provides the multilingual translation of several terms, which enables more reliable searches of technical and scientific terms.
